(209) Sexual Knowledge, Attitude and Practices in Women Attending OBG Out Patient Department and Its Effect on Sexual Dysfunctions

Abstract Introduction In India, despite significant advances in the prevention and treatment of sexual dysfunctions, majority these have focused on male dysfunction disorders. There is still a paucity literature that adequately explains relationship between knowledge attitudes women female dysfunctions. Furthermore, physiological events such as pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, menopause, ageing impact well-being, particularly when co-morbid psychiatric illnesses are present. Pregnancy carrying high risk nearing term were excluded study. After detailed history socio-economic data, each them handed out questionnaires. SKAQ-II (Sexual attitude questionnaire), was standardized using Indian population assessed attitude, Female Sexual Functioning Index scale (FSFI) evaluated comorbidities M.I.N.I PLUS scale. Results 93% had an adequate amount practice 83.2% liberal attitude. Level positively correlated dysfunction, latter 65.5% 63% pregnant having 77.8% menopausal dysfunction. Rural lower levels conservative towards practice, leading more problems. Around one-fourth reported morbidities suffering depression. Conclusions Women greater mindset tend tended poor practice. no association found religious attitudes. Most by group. issues common domains desire, lubrication, orgasm pain.
